Hello. I'm new to the pfSense forums, but have been running this for over a year now. Also not my first firewall. pfSense is setup on an old I3 machine, nothing complicated just the cable-modem into the WAN, my LAN network with switches, no DMZ or otherwise.

I am simply trying to setup open-VPN on my Android phone. which I used the basic tutorials found on Google-search. Unfortunately, countless nights after unlimited hours has me frustrated.

I use the Android phone to test port forwarding, opening ports, etc... from that device. This part of the tutorials have failed for me. If I can not to open a port to forward, the open-VPN will not work (unless I am mistaken).

I do not understand ipv6, so I disabled that where I found the prompts. As I write this now, I believe that probably is the source of my problems. The tutorials so far had no mention of IPV6. The firewall logs, are vague at best and even know I am attempting to toggle ports through the phone, I can not get a dropped or rejected packet" line in any log to show that.

Can anyone PLEASE advise, have links to a tutorial to help me troubleshoot my issue - like with ways to test the actual opening of ports and forwarding, all the necessary things that need to work for openVPN to function ?
