pfSense Firewall is Dying - - Config File

Hello. Our current production pfSense firewall is dying. We have a pfSense Appliance operating in a sandbox network (but with a different network configuration) as a backup. What would we need to change in the production pfSense config file (PC based) to make it compatible with the pfSense Appliance?
