I have disabled uPnp except for 3 specific IP's, but I had some uPnp's added from an IP, actually two different, that were not on the list of approved ip's to add.  Why is this?

Also, I am new to pFsense, and have configured the port forwarding.  Is the firewall setup automatically?  I came from a Cisco router, and it had a ton of configurations to do to make it secure.  Are there additional steps I should be taking?  Thank you!

I don't understand your problem with uPnP, sorry can't say anything.
Port forwarding is NAT. Firewalling is Rules. You can set up them independently (if this is your question).
