    I have been using OpenVPN for a while now and have been happy with it. The certificate has recently expired and I have a question: Can I remotely (through an OpenVPN connection) renew the certificate and download the client install app or will renewing the cert invalidate my then-current VPN connection?

      @bert-0 have never tried that..

      Good solution if your going to do something with vpn server connections while remote using the vpn. Is to allow for ssh connection temp.. Lock it down to where your coming from for added security if you want.

      Then via ssh and tunnel access the webgui and make your changes to your vpn server settings. then once you know you can connect back into the vpn, you can disable your temp ssh access to pfsense.

        @johnpoz Thanks, John, I'll give that a try.

        In the mean time, I am trying to get a site-to-site VPN established between two Netgate boxes (one with a dynamic ip address) but I'm not having much success :-( The VPN connects but no traffic flows through it yet...
