I'm using a Netgate 1100 and getting ready to configure a VPN. I work from home and I also have to use a VPN there. Without a VPN in PF Sense, I have not had to worry about it.

Is there a way to temporarily disable the PF Sense VPN while I am working and turn it back on when I'm not using my VPN for work?

@tjrjcj im not really following with what you are asking.
Are you wanting to use OpenVPN along with your business VPN? If so, typically that isnt an issue unless your home VPN has the same network address as your business VPN.
Can you clarify what you are asking?

        Firewall: NetGate,Palo Alto-VM,Juniper SRX
        Routing: Juniper, Arista, Cisco
        Switching: Juniper, Arista, Cisco
        Wireless: Unifi, Aruba IAP
        JNCIP,CCNP Enterprise

Under Interfaces > OpenVPN, there's a checkbox to enable it. However, I agree with @michmoor, I'm not sure that's what you're worried about.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
          UniFi AC-Lite access point

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

@jknott Sorry folks. Today, I don't have a VPN, so when I VPN to work there's no issue. When I'm done I close the VPN. I plan to purchase a VPN service in PF Sense, I'd like to be able to shut it off while I'm working and using my work VPN then turn the PF Sense VPN back on when I'm done with work.

            Does that make sense?

@tjrjcj You can do what I (and others) do and have your VPN connection be dedicated to a single network and then change which network you use... on my iMac I can do that one of two ways: Service Order in the Mac or switch port at my desk. But it depends on your employer's VPN on if this is possible.
