"Your connection is not private" issue

I am "assuming" this is pfBockerNG....
I have two subnets and in one of the subnets all of a sudden I get the subject message....no changes were made on my end to pfsense.
Can somebody point me how to troubleshoot this ?
-
@netboy where do you get such an error - in your browser? On your phone? If browser assume your going to some https site or just a http site?
To your web gui of pfsense?

@johnpoz I have an ipad and whenever you go to say cnn.com I am unable to see the web page and I see this error.....This happened all of a sudden. Can you kindly help me isolate this problem? FYI. there was a power failure in the night and I do see logs like this
[ pfB_PRI1_v4 - Talos_BL_v4 ] Download FAIL [ 04/23/23 10:00:30 ]

@netboy cnn.com is one of those sites that still serve http, if you go to https://www.cnn.com what do you get?
-
@johnpoz It is just not that... I have an android tablet and all of a sudden I get "untrusted connection" when I connect to synology.....Remember these connections are in 172.16....subnet but I do not get these problems when I connect to other subnet 192.168.....

@johnpoz said in "Your connection is not private" issue:

I get "This connection is not private"
-
@netboy well what certs are you running your dsm? pfblocker has zero to do with some browser warning about connection not being private.. This would be if your hitting http only for example.
For example if I hit my nas via http vs https I get this warning
Can you post an example of exact error your seeing. But this has zero to do with pfsense, and has to do with the browser and server your talking to.
Unless your running say haproxy and offloading ssl, or were, etc.. or running squid and doing some sort of ssl interception.
edit: heading out for brunch here in a few minutes. But happy to help you work through what is going on when get back in a few hours. But I don't think has anything to do with pfsense at all.. Seems more like a browser issue to me.
-
@johnpoz I have made zero changes....and why is this all of a sudden an issue....I will post the exact screen shots momentarily
-
The same one works like a charm if I login using my other subnet 192
-
@netboy Another observation...
I connect my iphone to wifi 172 subnet.
Type https://www.cnn.com get "your connection is not private"...
Turn off wifi and use the data plan that comes with my phone
Connect to https://www.cnn.com connects like a charm
I am going to assume this has something to do with my pfsense router....100%
Now I connect my iphone to wifi 192 subnet and it works like a charm..
Remember I have made ZERO changes to my router
I am happy to troubleshoot if somebody can help me
I "disabled" pfblockerNG and I get the same symptoms...So it appears it has to do with pfsense rather than pfblockerNG? Not sure
SOLVED!! Nothing to do with pfsense.....I had a wifi repeater for 172 network...(nokia router in bridge mode) - rebooted it and everything worked fine......
