DataPlane Error in TNSR 23.02-3
-
Good Day TNSR Collective,
Im trying to deploy TNSR23.02-3 on VMWARE Esxi 7 and hit a brick wall when trying to bring UP two different NICs in the dataplane.
The NICs are listed below and I see them listed after running the sho int command, however, I dont see them as UP status, and I receive the following error when attempting to add interface LAN:I also receive a similar error when trying to configure nat pool int WAN as follows:
My (2) NICs are as follows:
I350-AM4 -- I350-GE-4T-X4 points to driver--Intel Network Adapter Driver for 82575/6, 82580, I350, and I210/211-Based Gigabit Network Connections for LinuxIntel X540 Controller, NICGIGA 10Gbps Ethernet Adapter, 2*10Gbe RJ45 Port
--points to Marvell FastLinQ Edge 10Gbit Network AdapterThe host sees the NICS without issue and I have connectivity on TNSR's host, but the VM guest for TNSR does't seem bring UP the NICs in TNSR after simply assigning them in the dataplane.
Also, worth noting, Im seeing the following in the host as it relates to the (2) NICS:
I am also noting the following errors alluding to the same errors replicating in the dataplane.
Please advise and thank you so much.
Lastly, several months ago I was able to successfully configure TNSR 22.10 on an 8GB HP mini computer using 4 USB network adapters and it performed flawlessly, I suspect this may be either a driver issue with the NICS or an issue with compatibility with VMware.Thank you much!

UPDATE, not sure why, but changing the "Adapter Type" under the VM's setting from VMXNET3 to E1000e resolved the issue.
Important to note, prior to this, I injected additional network drivers from fling in the same fashion as I did from a previous lab system where i was able to use USB network adapters with Esxi7 for a successful tnsr guest install. Also, after injecting the network drivers from FLING, the network adapters now display as follows:
