      Hello,

We recently upgraded a customer to a new server. New server is running Server 2022 and is the hyper-v host. Old server was running VMware ESXi.

Immediately after installing pfense on the new hyper-v server and restoring the config we noticed speed issues. Doing some searching came across disabling RSC on all VSwitches, and also turning off LSO v2 on IPv4 and IPv6 fixed the issues with speed issues on the Hyper-V host as well as the Window guest VM's.

We are now just dealing with slow speeds on our Unitrends backup appliance. Backups locally are unaffected however backup copies are barely upload at 2Mb/s when the connection is 10Mb/s. We've dealt with Unitrends support and there's nothing from that aspect that could affect it. We've even rebuilt the Unitrends appliance and it didn't help.

Anything on pfsense we can do/check? The original pfsense configuration was from version 2.4.5 and we are obviously running now 2.6. Any weird issues with backup/restoring configuration from those versions?

As a last ditched effort, we tried upgrading to the development version of Pfsense (v2.7) and so far the issue is resolved. Now the question remains, do we go and turn on RSC and LSO so we are back to default on the hyper-v host?
