Did the forum software change/updated? Themes/Skins in particular?
-
It's smooth.
-
@stephenw10 Thanks. The "new message/thread" banner is still borked:
-
@SteveITS yeah I still seeing this problem @stephenw10 is someone looking into this?
I am using the cyborg theme now.. I have looked on multiple themes and seems to be across all of them that I have checked.
-
Hmm, what should appear there? I don't think I ever used that....
I see:
-
@stephenw10 it only shows up when there are new posts.. I don't recall the exact text, but it would say something like 3 new posts, or 2 new posts, etc.
It would pop up when new posts came in and you were on that page.
edit: adding to post to see if it pops up in another window
-
@johnpoz new post
edit: see when I created a new post it shows up, but it use to have text in it.. saying like new post or 3 new posts, etc.
That blank little square that shows up doesn't say what it is - even if was like a button that said click here to see new posts or something..
-
@johnpoz I see this also that little bar next to new discussion
-
@stephenw10 What John said, but it shows if you leave your browser on the "unread" page for a time and the page wants you to know someone else posted so you need to reload the page. Not a big deal obviously but a bug somewhere.
-
Anyone else noticing read threads don't bring you to the latest post anymore?
-
This is what the menu looks like on android 9, galaxy tab or when you switch to desktop (pc) view on mobile Android 12 -
@Jarhead yes.

Just clicking on the date/time link to the most recent post gets me near the end of the thread but I normally right-click that link and select open in a new tab. However, that now always opens at the first post. Using Firefox 114.0.2 on Win 10.
Also seeing the problem Johnpoz reported regarding new post notifications.
-
@biggsy Yeah this old thread.. But just wondering did we find anything out about this
This use to have text in - like new posts available or something.. Now its just orange box, while I know what it means sure there are many users say new to the forum that would have no idea what that is suppose to mean.
-
Geez, what happened? The Superhero theme suddenly has orange text.
Oh well, back to Slate, even if the contrast between text and background is bad. -
Yup, same here. Testing 'Darkly' too but nothing is perfect.
-
-
@Gertjan epic!!!
-
@Gertjan I have been in and out last few weeks. Travel both work and pleasure.. But yeah just noticed this myself
Sweet, wonder if it was an update to the forum software that fixed it, or did netgate IT make a change that corrected it? But yeah looks much better now.. ;)
-
The forum was updated. Killed the theme I was using which sucks!
-
Wasn't even aware that there are themes here ....
I'm off, digging in my 'Profile'
