    Hello All,

Along with my issue for the Error files path not existing, I have been struggling with another issue.

The Transparent HTTP Proxy mode checkbox seems to be working exactly opposite the way it is supposed to.

    Running pfSense:
    Version 23.05-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Mon May 22 15:04:36 UTC 2023
    FreeBSD 14.0-CURRENT
The system is on the latest version.
Version information updated at Wed Jun 28 17:33:21 EDT 2023

    Squid 0.4.46.

When I check the Checkbox for "Transparent HTTP Proxy" on the General tab of the Squid Service and go to the Transparent Proxy Settings section and saving the settings, I cannot browse to http:// sites.

If I then go into Windows 10 Proxy settings and add the LAN interface IP of the pfSense for the LAN my Windows client is on which is 10.1.10.1 port 3128 and save, I can then browse the same http:// URL that I could not previously.

If I turn off Windows Proxy and then uncheck and save the "Transparent HTTP Proxy" checkbox, I can similarly browse the same http:// URL.

I am Shift-Reloading the URLs to ensure the browser is not caching the site.

It seems that the "Transparent HTTP Proxy" is working exactly backwards from the way it is supposed to.

    Any thoughts?

    Regards,

    Eric
