Interface gets stuck, only reboot helps IFDISABLED

Dear forum,
once in a while, a hardware-firewall interface gets stuck and only a reboot helps.
I do not see anything special in the logs.re1: Using 1 MSI-X message re1: ASPM disabled re1: Chip rev. 0x54000000 re1: MAC rev. 0x00100000 miibus1: <MII bus> on re1 rgephy1: <RTL8251/8153 1000BASE-T media interface> PHY 1 on miibus1 rgephy1: none, 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 10baseT-FDX-flow, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 100baseTX-FDX-flow, 1000baseT-FDX, 1000baseT-FDX-master, 1000baseT-FDX-flow, 1000baseT-FDX-flow-master, auto, auto-flow re1: Using defaults for TSO: 65518/35/2048 re1: Ethernet address: 38:f7:cd:c2:0b:2e re1: netmap queues/slots: TX 1/256, RX 1/256 [2.6.0-RELEASE][root@fw.local]/root: ifconfig re1 down [2.6.0-RELEASE][root@fw.local]/root: ifconfig re1 up [2.6.0-RELEASE][root@fw.local]/root: ping 192.168.100.251 PING 192.168.100.251 (192.168.100.251): 56 data bytes ping: sendto: No route to host ping: sendto: No route to host ping: sendto: No route to host ^C --- 192.168.100.251 ping statistics --- re1: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500 options=82098<VLAN_MTU,VLAN_HWTAGGING,VLAN_HWCSUM,WOL_MAGIC,LINKSTATE> ether 38:f7:cd:c2:0b:2e inet6 fe80::3af7:cdff:fec2:b2e%re1 prefixlen 64 tentative scopeid 0x2 media: Ethernet autoselect (1000baseT <full-duplex>) status: active nd6 options=29<PERFORMNUD,IFDISABLED,AUTO_LINKLOCAL>
If i do a reboot, it looks like this again:
re1: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500 options=82098<VLAN_MTU,VLAN_HWTAGGING,VLAN_HWCSUM,WOL_MAGIC,LINKSTATE> ether 38:f7:cd:c2:0b:2e inet6 fe80::3af7:cdff:fec2:b2e%re1 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2 inet 192.168.100.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.100.255 media: Ethernet autoselect (1000baseT <full-duplex>) status: active nd6 options=21<PERFORMNUD,AUTO_LINKLOCAL> 2.6.0-RELEASE][root@fw.local]/root: ping 192.168.100.251 PING 192.168.100.251 (192.168.100.251): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 192.168.100.251: icmp_seq=0 ttl=128 time=0.573 ms
