Upgrade to 2.7.0 fails after reboot, error 19 when trying to mount UFS
-
All of my 4 VPS hosted systems (on KVM) fail to reboot properly after upgrading from 2.6.0 to 2.7.0. Upgrade itself seems to go fine, but after reboot mounting the UFS disk fails, in two different flavours:
Mounting from ufs:/dev/vtbd0s1a failed with error 19
or
Mounting from ufs:/dev/ufsid/5c87af997856d057 failed with error 19
Any ideas what goes wrong and how to fix this?
Every previous upgrades (some back from the 2.1.4 day!) always went fine.
Can’t do a fresh 2.7.0 install and restore config, hoster only provides 2.5.0 as an option.Best regards,
Julian

I had the same problem.
I tried to install version 2.7.0 from scratch but it got stuck at one point in the first boot and could not continue.
In the end I had to reinstall version 2.6.0 and restore a backup, although not everything was as it was before.
Like you I thought the upgrade would be a 5 minute job and it took me hours to get it back.

@wickeren install 2.5, set it to Previous Stable branch, and update to 2.6.
Just a guess but try turning UEFI on or off.

Unfortunately I have zero control over the hypervisor… I’ll ask the hoster
