From Openvpn to Wireguard
-
Hi,
Hi would like to migrate form openvpn to wireguard.
The way it working at the moment is as follow :
| bbox | 192.168.1.1 --------------192.168.1.2---| Router | ---10.0.0.0-------| switch |
-------- | ----------- ----------------
|
| 192.168.1.3
-------------
| openvpn |
-------------
My question : Is it possible to replace in that implementation, the openvpn server by a wireguard server (same place and same IP)Thanks for your help

This is the way it works at the moment :

@websy Certainly.
But why have two boxes (router & Wireguard server). Why not just have a pfSense as a Router/Wireguard server.
Less power, less latency, simpler setup. -
@keyser
Hi, I should change my routeur, and it is not foreseen at the moment for a budget reason.
I already have an old Pi where openvpn is running.
How would you configure wireguard on that appliance to play the same role ?
Aim is to allow connections from outside to reach 10.0.0.0Thx for your help

@websy I’m not familiar with Wireguard standalone on Linux. I just know if from the package in pfSense.
So I can’t help you here -
@keyser okidok, thx anyway ;-)
