      hey guys, I am always connected to my home via pfsense vpn. is there a way that I can get pfblockerng to block the ads for me on my connection?

        Direct all upstream traffic over the VPN and add the VPN interface to the outbound interfaces list in pfBlockerNG.

        If you're using DNSBL ensure that pfSense is used for DNS resolution by redirecting all DNS traffic and blocking DoH with pfBlockerNG.

          thanks man, will have a look at that. does that also mean that my internet traffic would be routed out of my home isp?

            Yes, this is necessary for filtering the traffic.

            It depends on your VPN how to configure this. In case of OpenVPN check "redirect gateway" in the server settings.
            Also you have to add an outbound NAT rule for the tunnel network if pfSense doesn't this automatically. As far as I know, the wizard adds a rule automatically. So check the automatically created rule.
