Is there an equivalent to ethtool in pfsense/freeBSD that allows the FEC mode to be specified on an interface?

@eracerxrs I would gamble saying if the tool comes with FreeBSD kernel, it most likely available. You haven't mentioned your need for needing that tool, maybe there's a configuration available in pfSense to manipulate...

        Updated later after research:
Based on here it seems that you don't need the "ethtool" ifconfig is the tool to use.

        pfSense+ 23.09 Lenovo Thinkcentre M93P SFF Quadcore i7 dual Raid-ZFS 128GB-SSD 32GB-RAM PCI-Intel i350-t4 NIC, -Intel QAT 8950.
        pfSense+ 23.09 VM-Proxmox, Dell Precision Xeon-W2155 Nvme 500GB-ZFS 128GB-RAM PCIe-Intel i350-t4, Intel QAT-8950, P-cloud.

@NollipfSense Thanks for the reply. Ifconfig doesn't have a setting for FEC, but fortunately I found the solution by using the intel driver specifically for the E823-L which offers a wide range of tunable parameters.

Unfortunately that driver doesn't compile correctly using the the latest FreeBSD 14.0 CURRENT release and the RELEASE version has been delayed. So it looks like I'm stuck on pfSense 2.6 until I can compile a driver for the latest update.
