Where in the heck do you download 1.2.3-RC3?! [answered]
-
I've looked everywhere. I see many people talking about 1.2.3-RC3 and 1.2.3-RC2, but the download location here: http://files.pfsense.org/mirror/downloads/ only has 1.2.3-RC1. from April. I've searched the blog, I've searched the forum, I've searched with googled and I even searched through the daily snapshots, and while I find lots of people talking about 1.2.3-RC3 I can't find any indication of where to actually download it. Could somebody please advise me on where to download 1.2.3-RC3?!

Try http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_7_2/pfSense_RELENG_1_2/?C=M;O=D
Which one is the release candidate?

Look for the most recent (by date) of either the LiveCD or nanobsd, depending on your preference. I can't remember exactly when RC2 become RC3, but probably every build there is RC3 now.

There isn't an official RC3 yet, it's coming this weekend. The snapshots are the same though.

So is there an "official" RC2 then? Something other than daily snapshots? I hope an official RC3 release does come out this weekend. You just never know about the quality of daily snapshots (for projects in general, not necessarily pfsense).

No, that was only a tag in snapshots so we could differentiate between versions.

I just thought I would add a note here (since this thread does show up at the top of a google search) that there is now a 1.2.3-RC3 package under the regular download site linked from the pfsense homepage.
