Having a little bit of a problem with Windows 11 Xbox PC app.

When downloading games on the Xbox app its incredibly slow and its also bring my network down to a crawl (wife moaning) :)
all other apps work fine steam, EA app , Epic, etc all download blazing fast with no other network problems.
Iv reset the Xbox app and performed all the other fixes tweaks I can find but it still remains the same.

just to get the basic out the road first I have a 1gb Fibre to premises connection iv done a few fresh installs of PFsense to see if it made a difference (it did not)

Totaly at a lost on this now has anyone had this problem before ?

@Dave234ee Have to solved this issue?
I don't really see why your network should be slowed down by your downloading unless you actually consume the entire bandwidth.

BUT, I read somewhere that the Xbox app is be considered part of the OS in some ways, and your settings for Windows Updates seem to affect also this App. Press the Windows Search Bar and type “Delivery Optimization advanced settings.” and see what comes up.

Another tip I saw was related to Windows Defender... Try turning off Real Time Protection and see if that helps, and then turn back on after download is complete.
