No new version in a week?

Just checking to make sure that no new versions of 23.09 have been available to download since last Saturday. Just seems odd for a development version. I want to make sure my device isnt broken.

Not necessarily true, especially if getting close to release. Since it is the month 23.09 should be released, its quite possible they have kind of frozen "dev" and are getting ready to release it.. If you go to the snapshots site, https://www.pfsense.org/snapshots/ it say its disabled currently..

Oh OK, my bad. I didn’t realize they were this close to releasing it.
It runs well, so that would make sense.

@behemyth how close they are I am not sure.. But 23.09 should if everything went as planned be released this month.. That is what the .09 is.. Will that happen can not say, all I can say is they will release it when its ready..
But since we are close to the planned release time, its quite possible they are not releasing daily snaps, etc. And that would make sense.. Every major project I have ever seen does some sort of freeze as they get close to release.. So that is what I would guess is why your not seeing daily snaps available currently.
They could release tomorrow for all I know, but that seems unlikely without at least 1 RC? I have not been following the 23.09 dev, does the latest version show RC in its name? I haven't seen any sort of announcement of that either.. Or it could be the last day of September, or it could get pushed past 09 as well, some previous releases have been past the "scheduled" version number date..
They for sure want to make sure all the ducks are in a row before they release, so the answer since really pfsense has been a thing when asked when the next version will come out, the correct answer is "when its ready" ;)

The last snapshot was still a development snap, so yeah, my guess is an RC would be coming soonish if it comes out this month.

And as i post this a new snap is out. Lol....

It's not unusual for it to be a few days between builds, especially if we are debugging things or chasing build failures for various reasons during development.
