      The 4.1.6_11 version of the Snort package should now be showing up as available for pfSense 2.7 CE users

      I can confirm that here on 2.7.0!

      Kettop Mi4300YL CPU: i5-4300Y @ 1.60GHz RAM: 8GB Ethernet Ports: 4
      SSD: SanDisk pSSD-S2 16GB (ZFS) WiFi: WLE200NX
      pfsense 2.8.0 CE
      Packages: Apcupsd, Cron, Iftop, Iperf, LCDproc, Nmap, pfBlockerNG, RRD_Summary, Shellcmd, Snort, Speedtest, System_Patches.

        I can confirm that here on 2.7.0!

        Great. Still is going to be a while before the update appears in the 2.8 CE snapshots. That branch is currently offline and package builds are suspended as the team merges in some additional FreeBSD 14 stuff. But the corrected package code exists in the branch, and as soon as package building is enabled again the updated Snort package should appear for the 2.8 CE development snapshot branch.
