      Hello,
I have an instance of pfSense virtualized on vmWare, I'm evaluating the pro and cons of managing vlan interfaces on host or inside the pfsense.

There are significant performance penalty or problems creating the vlan interface inside the firewall instead of create the interface on the esx host?

This approace surpasses the virtual machine interface number limits (max 10 interfaces) and it is more flexible.

The configuration will be like this:
enterprice switch =>(all vlan trunk) esx host =>(all vlan trunk) pfsense => vlan tagged interface

Am I running into any problems?

      Thank you
