Just wondering if pfBlocker is being worked on as @BBcan177 last posted on the 14th of August 2023.

If not is there any chance ASN, GeoIP, etc ... methods of creating firewall aliases can be sherlocked @jimp as its very handy.

@NogBadTheBad still maintained by both @BBcan177 with Netgate employee @cmcdonald now actively contributing as well (at least as far as anyone outside of Netgate's employ and/or contracting can tell).

at present, both available packages, pfBlockerNG and pfBlockerNG-devel, appear to simply be mirrored.

Are you having a specific problem with these?

or is your only concern that nothing has really changed since August.

@jrey I had to look it up...apparently "sherlocked" refers to Apple incorporating third party app features into the OS. So OP is asking to duplicate that feature in pfSense.

@NogBadTheBad You can always make a feature request at redmine.pfsense.org.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

True, but only "If not " "being worked on" would Sherlock have to come to work.

Sounds more like an expedition to see if anyone is maintaining the package that hasn't been touched in a while.

Either way, both are fair questions

@jrey no not really a problem with them, but it would be a nice addition if people didn't want to use pfBlocker.
