Pfsense is blocking all incoming mobile network internet traffic
-
Hello Everyone,
I thought I had set up a DMZ zone on my Pfsense for my webserver, which also has a separate firewall on it. I have noticed it blocks all mobile internet traffic but allows all other traffic that is not mobile internet related. Does anyone know how I can resolve this, please? Thanks
Rockyuk

@Rockyuk how would pfsense even know its some mobile internet connection? Are you using some rules via some pfblocker list?
Off the top maybe its related to ipv6.. Mobile devices almost always have IPv6 - so could it be you have published your fqdn that resolves to IPv6 ans well as IPv4 but didn't allow for IPv6 to actually work?

@johnpoz You were right it appears most if not all UK mobile internet IP's where added to pfB_SFS_v4 just disabled it and all seems to be working now. Thank you

@Rockyuk said in Pfsense is blocking all incoming mobile network internet traffic:
internet IP's where added to pfB_SFS_v4
What specific list is that? I don't block, I allow only.. So stuff I have open is open to any IP in the US geoip list for example, and some others I have added like plex check, status cake, uptime robot, etc. that can come from international IPs..

@johnpoz It's stop forum spam list, it's quite an aggressive list. After disabling everything started to work
Unfortunately it does not go into specifics it just one large list. -
@Rockyuk And you run a forum?
-
@johnpoz I have a webserver on the network, that particular list stated it was good for webservers etc
-
@Rockyuk not really.. It lists IPs and ranges of IPs, that produce spam.. I would take it that is a lot of mobile IPs ;)
