Squid deprecated... recommendations

because Squid has been deprecated for Security reason Too much Vulnerability not corrected are present. I'm looking for recommendations to keep working my portal wifi net access, i have all in one: pfsense, squid in transparent mode and captive portal authentication to permit internet access for wifi devises
