Intel X552 Does Not Support 1G SFP

Recently discovered that the X552 onboard NIC in the 1547 will not work with a 1G transceiver. This is not a bug, it's the design of the chip. Fortunately I was able to use an add on X710 port instead, but I thought I'd put this here to help any future keyword searches.
