pfBlockerNG-devel 3.2.0_7 not blocking certain ads for IPv6 devices
-
Hello everyone!
I'm having an issue where certain blocked ads are loading when they are suppose to be blocked. The entries appear in pfBlockerNG as blocked, however, on IPv6 devices they load as if they weren't blocked
I have IPv6 filtering enabled in pfBlockerNG, not too sure if I have to enable another feature in order to get it to block those ads as well. I have referenced the lists added to the DNSBL and those are included to be blocked.
I have also tried Wildcard Blocking but it seems as though 80% of the network is blocked filtered and some pages refuse to load.
I have tried on a laptop with an IPv4 IP and the ad block tester will say 93% blocked (https://d3ward.github.io/toolz/adblock.html) and everything is blocked as intended.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@rtorres Have you blocked DoH? Browsers like to go around local DNS these days…

@SteveITS Thank you for your reply! :)
I do have DoH enabled but only for all Apple. Which would you recommend I enable for Edge, Chrome, and Brave browsers?
Weirdly enough, if I enable Brave's tracking and ad block feature - it allows certain ads to come through. Adblocker website would say 93% but with Brave's tracking and adblock feature would drop down to 64%..

@rtorres well Chrome is Google of course. Is there a reason to allow any?
I’ve seen one issue, we have Dish satellite and though it’s DVR uses local DNS its video on demand “app” uses public DNS/DoH and I had to allow it out from that device.
