I am using Mode: Remote Access ( User Auth ), so no client certificates and I would like to use Client Specific Overrides to assign static IPs to some user accounts.

      It seems that either
      (a) the username specified in the User Manager and used to log in is for some strange reason not matching the Common Name specified in Client Specific Overrides, or
      (b) the static IP address specified as IPv4 Tunnel Network in Client Specific Overrides is not effectively used (the specified IP 10.10.1.100/24 is within the network specified for the server's IPv4 Tunnel Network 10.10.1.0/24)

I would assume that this is a commonly used feature and I hope someone can help me out with this.

The reason was (a), the username was not matching Common Name. One needs to enable "Username as Common Name" for the server for this to work properly.
