      I've been using WireGuard for a year or two now for routing all traffic from my cellphone or laptop computer through my home network when I am not home. At random times, WG freezes up and the only way to get it to work again is to disable the WG tunnel temporarily, login to my pfSense router through an obfuscated backdoor I created, and restart the WireGuard server. Once I do this, I can re-enable my remote WG tunnel and things go back to normal. This has been happening at random times over the past few months. I have tried to look through system logs and either I'm looking in the wrong spot or nothing is being reported on pfSense as to why it is locking up. As stated, forcing a restart of WireGuard on my pfSense seems to solve the issue.
