Traffic Totals doesn't show current month
-
If you set Traffic Totals to "Daily" you get a chart of days up to and including the current day.
If you set Traffic Totals to "Monthly" you get a chart up to and including only the previous month.
I am most interested in a Traffic Total for the current month, and can't convince the Traffic Totals package to show me that.
Am I missing something?

@hspindel That sounds like a feature request.
-
@hspindel this isn't a new issue
https://forum.netgate.com/topic/170894/status-traffic-totals-data-in-wrong-month
You can look via vntstat -m to get the values
-
@johnpoz Hahaha, the system blocks me from upvoting you any further
-
@johnpoz Thank you for the reply. vnstat does indeed report values correctly.
Are there any plans to fix this?
-
@hspindel that old thread I linked had I believe like 2 bug reports, but doesn't seem to have gotten any traction? I wonder if it has something odd to do with feb not having atleast 30 days.
I would have to dig back into it.. But to be honest I forgot all about it until you brought it up, and then I remembered hey this sure seems familiar and yup looked in mine and no march info in the gui.
-
@johnpoz curious but what function does traffic totals give you?
-
@johnpoz Maybe it does have something to do with February being strange.
I have looked at the traffic totals report before this month, and never noticed anything odd. Doesn't mean it wasn't there and I just missed it.

I configure it to show WAN totals, and then I check it against what Comcast thinks happened.
Comcast has a history of inaccurately reporting usage. Lots of people have problems with it. I am still struggling with a reported data overage last September.

@hspindel ahh I gotcha
