suricata has disappeared

I'm on the latest version of pfsense ce stable, latest version of suricata 7.0.4.
it shows suricata is installed but it's not showing up under services status, nor service.
I uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted the firewall, cleared my web browser cache... nothing..
any advice?

The answer to this is covered in your other thread about the PHP memory error.
The install is not running to full completion due to the PHP memory error crashing the installer hook script. That means the last step never completes which is creating the menu entry.

A new package version (7.0.4_1) has been posted that contains the fix for this problem.
