IWLWIFI(4) Driver Question
-
Does anyone know how to find out, what WiFi driver is installed or available
for the pfSense+ OS 24.03 BETA? I am asking especially for the IWLWIFIF(4)
driver to support a Intel AX210 WiFi card. Thanks for your support -
Hmm, it was in there at one time but isn't now: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/14050
The iwlwifi driver doesn't actually support .ax speeds though. Nor does it support hostap mode so it can only be a .11n client.

Now I was reading over the internet it was due to a dual license from Intel and
only Pro chipsets or cards will come with the AP mode but they are only working fine together with some other Intel based chipsets soldered on mainboards.Tanks for the hint I was cross reading over the internet at the same time
over this ac/ax point. -

That wouldn't preclude it from working as a way to tether to a hotspot though, right? I mean in that case it should act as a client connecting to the hotspot device?

As today I am using a SparkLan WPEA-127N - QCA9380 3T3R Ap-Mode Module
(miniPCIe) 3x3 WiFi N. -

Correct it can run in station mode (as a client) at lower speeds. However as I said above it was removed so you'd need to add it back to use it.
