24.03-RC minor UI bugs

You mean while it's fetching that data?
Not seeing that here from Firefox or Chromium.
Exactly. After clearing every cache, site is loading normally but the elements that were formerly spinning won't. Perhaps you could try with another browser that hasn't loaded any pfSense UI yet, too? The elements were partly functioning in a beta so I assume it is something introduced later and browser cache needed a few iterations until it stopped working.
Just tried again in an Edge window, completely deleting everything history/cache/etc. related, new profile:
no rotation visible.

Never tried it, but I fired up Edge, the brpowser that came with what I use here : 11 Pro.
So I accessed pfSense (the 23.04 RC that is 2 days old now) with it.
Animated wheel was spinning for me ... -
Spinning nicely here (FF & Chromium), but I never run the beta, only RC.
-
Hmm, odd. Never seen that. But all my browsers are usually full of pfSense tabs.
I can't replicate that on anything I've tried though.
-
@stephenw10 Hmm OK then it's super weird.
Tried it with Edge completely clean, with Brave, Chromium, Firefox - all are missing animations... Makes me wonder if somehow the CSS got bonked on some upgrade?
-
Mmm, maybe. You're only seeing that on one pfSense instance?
-
@JeGr more likely a browser issue. A quick test here shows varying results connecting to the same pfSense:
Win10 Firefox v124.0.2 spins Win10 Firefox v115.9.1esr doesn't spin
Edit: I found the resaon for this difference between my two machines. It looks like the pfSense GUI now respects any "Ease of access" configuration the user may have set. My Win10 (no spinning) is set to "Show no animations in Windows" (in Settings /. Ease of access). Toggling this switch changes the pfSense behaviour.

Aye, only on the 6100 with 24.03 RC installed. Just an optical thing, no game changer or blocker, just wondering why currently.

Interesting - that may be due to the updated vendor files (e.g. Font Awesome) in 24.03.

@marcosm After Release I'll do a new install from scratch and test again. Seems like a minor/non-issue otherwise.
