I want to preset my defaults for my NanoBSD builds. Is there a way to mount an image before I flash it so I can change the default XML configs?

Could I then do this with an upgrade image so when an upgrade is sent to the flash that it would get my defaults?

What would be the best way to handle this kind of process?

    Thanks

Yes. I don't have the exact instructions at the moment. I'm going to finish this page as soon as time permits.

Or maybe Jim will see this and fill it in. :) I know he's done that before.

Thanks for the info I will start there.

Do you know if there are any vmware image of FreeBSD posted somewhere that would work to do this work in? I am thinking something that I could start with this and proceed to learning some other dev stuff so I might participate in the project more.

Currently I primarily have MS and Linux systems and work mostly on them.

Are there any other good resources for Free BSD you might recommend I am looking to get up to speed with differences between Linux and FreeBSD?  I would like to ramp up as fast as possible.  I have been just a pfSense user for 2 years now and would like to start to evolve more.

Hah. I didn't see this message, but I saw the wiki page. I almost filled it in but didn't since it looked like you were in the middle of it. I'll do it tomorrow, I have a batch of 7 shiny new ALIX boxes I need to image and I'll need to be doing some tinkering along these lines with them anyhow.
