    Hello everyone,

I am trying to configure OSPFv3 over a WireGuard interface. However, OSPFv3 likes to use Link Local addressing with IPv6 to initiate routing. Is it possible to enable link local address (Yes, I am aware that WireGuard tunnels have no MAC address.... Manually defined?) on the WireGuard tunnels?

I believe I can configure OSPFv3 with point-to-point if I use FRR CLI configuration. However, I would prefer not to get into FRR CLI if I can get away without it.

I am using Pfsense community edition 2.7.2 stable release.

The interface has IPv6 configured on it, but for some reason there isn't a link local interface getting configured.

    Thank you in advance,

    Karl

@jimp Thank you. You are awesome. A threat you replied to in 2014 fixed a problem I am facing today hahaha.
