I think this a firewall issue. Since I set up Pfsense within my home network, I am no longer able to access the Proxmox web interface. Its web interface IP address lies within my subnet, but I am still unable to access it. Has anybody else had this issue?

@whitebuffalo said in Proxmox web interface no longer avilable:

Its web interface IP address lies within my subnet

Which subnet? The one your computer is connected to, from which you try to access Proxmox?

If so the access would not have to pass pfSense at all.

@viragomann my PC (from which I'm trying to access Proxmox) is on the subnet. I thought the proxmox web interface IP had to be within the same subnet range. I thought Pfsense had control over the LAN?

In DHCP leases I see other hardware connected and within the subnet, but I dont see my server. I'm not sure that has any correlation.

How did you connect your network?

Assuming you have created a LAN bridge on Proxmox and configured an IP on it and connect this bridge to eth0 port and to a virtual NIC for pfSense LAN. Your computer is connected outside toeth0.
Then access to Proxmox doesn't pass pfSense, it rather goes directly to the Proxmox IP.

In DHCP leases I see other hardware connected and within the subnet, but I dont see my server.

Did you even configure the Proxmox web interface for DHCP?
If so, what is the DHCP server?
It might not be a good idea to run the DHCP server for the host on a VM.
Just give Proxmox a static IP.

@viragomann thank you for your responses. I'm not sure I understand your questions fully. Can you break it down a little further? I'm new to all this
