      Hi Netgate,

I know 2FA is not the holy grail by itself and risk is relatively low on a forum like this, still I'm curious - as most current web forums feature 2FA protection for user accounts nowadays, why hasn't the Netgate forum implemented 2FA for user accounts yet, to prevent abuse?

      Perhaps a suggestion?

      Kind regards,

      cyb3rtr0nian

@cyb3rtr0nian You mean forced it for every account? Because I have it enabled on my account.

They require if your mod, etc. that you enable it.. But you should be able to go into your profile and enable it if you want it.

@johnpoz Ah thanks, I seem to have been looking in the Settings section at the profile image, while it was in fact located in the 'three dots' section on your Edit profile page.

I thought the avatar section > Settings, at the top navigation panel would lead to account related settings such as 2FA.

Oh well, then this post might be useful for the next guy who's looking..

@cyb3rtr0nian said in 2FA on forum accounts:

When sensible info like credit cards, social security, or any other personal data is involved, then, yeah, why not.

But since when plain text, discussing firewalls, our forum posts, is now sensible info ? Everything can be read even without creating an account here.
And the account info probably contains my name ..... wtf, the name to the right of my 'logo' is my name ... and my birth date.

Anyway, glad to know that when johnpoz is posting, I'll be a bit more sure that it was he who was posting and not some one else.
( reading his posts and I know that it was him, anyway ^^ )

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??
