I rebooted my pfsense box today (24.03-RELEASE, all recommended patches applied) and noticed that when it came back up my IPv4 connections had stopped working. Prior to FRR 2.0.2_3 OSPF would redistribute a default route to the directly connected L3 switch that handles most of my network routing, but the 0.0.0.0/0 -> pfSense route was missing after reboot and I haven't been able to figure out a combination of settings to get it to be redistributed. This forces me to have a static route on the L3 switch in order to have working routing. Seems like this function is broken at this time. I've tried multiple combinations of Default Route Redistribution -> Redistribute/Always Redistribute but no luck. If I check the FRR config file it does show default-information originate, so it at least thinks it's in the right state.

Anyone else seeing this or have any workarounds?

@freph533 Same issue here. The bug appeared on 24.03. FRR is not able to get Kernel routes anymore. See more info here: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/188603/updating-to-pfsense-24-3-breaks-routing-kernel-routes-now-gone
