Having problems understanding the Dlink side of the configuration.
questions: Do I have to configure the vlans on the dlink side?
What should the trunk parameters look like?
What should the Access Port configuration look like.
      Appreciate any help...

@Hoserman yes you have to configure the both switches that have an uplink between them that carry multiple vlans.

A vlan is either tagged or its not.. If its a port that will see multiple vlans there can be only 1 untagged, the rest would be tagged. Or you could tag them all, etc..

But yes the vlan IDs need to match on the switch, unless its just an untagged native network.

A access port or say a port that is only connected to a device that will be in 1 vlan, like a PC then the vlan would be untagged and the pvid would be set to whatever vlan you want that port to be in.
