My IP suddenly black listed - Who should I contact?
-
My IP is blacklisted and i cannot access the forum.
I did not do anything bad by the way...I don't know who to talk to for getting my ip out of the blacklist...
-
Probably not your IP/32, but a /24 part (all 254 of them).
A couple of hours (days ?) some one else was mentioning the same messages as the one showing in your image. Even his IPv6 was blacklisted.
Who is your ISP / from where ?For the time being : now you know why you have a VPN ^^ (I know, silly, but it actually works).

Is it a fixed IP? The blacklist hasn't updated for some time AFAIK.

@Gertjan Yeah. VPN seems to be the way to go :)
@stephenw10 I understand my ISP does not allow me to have a fixed ip. So it must not be netgate's fault that this blacklist thing is happening to me.
This also could mean that my public IP will change again in the near future and I will be able to log in to the forum again.
The time will tell :)

@prudentcircle I looked at your history and an IP you used back in june is not on the list.. what IP are you getting now? You can PM it to me and I can check.. That IP you used back in june was kornet - korea sends a lot of spam, so its possible you got one of the IPs in the black list, but without the IP or atleast the network your on say the first 3 octets, can not check to see.
One you connected with 3 days ago, also korean IP - also not on the blacklist.. PM me your IP your using when blacklist and can verify if on the list or not.

@johnpoz Thank you for helping me out here. I recently moved to a new location and within days of moving to a new place, I was black-listed. To be exact, I must have been assigned a public IP from my ISP that happened to be in the same subnet with some malicious actors / or infected zombie PC. So it must be something with my ISP probably. I am still with Kornet - korea.
I will get my public IP rotated soon. In the meantime, I could use my VPN to access the forum.
Thank you again!

@prudentcircle what is your ip - send it to me in a pm and I can check the blacklist - so unless your isp changes your IP to a completely different network, if your current IP is blacklisted, it would still be blacklisted. If I know the IP range I can remove it if its on there.. And only if start seeing large amounts of spam from it again you would be fine.
