      Hi all,
I use dual WAN on my pfsense box, one WAN is on fiber, the other is on a mobile hotspot. on the mobile hotspot the pfsense device shows up as "pfsense" , how can I change it . For example so it shows up on the hotspot connected device list as "pfsense-failover-device" or similar?

I went through the following documentation before posting:
      https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/wireless/configuration-wan.html#configuring-the-wireless-network

      Adding some info:
I want to specifically change the wireless NIC name that shows up when connecting to networks without having to change the whole pfsense hostname.

I know I can change the pfsense hostname here:

      System > General Setup

The name you see there is what's sent by the dhcp client when it connects. That is the system hostname by default. However you can set a hostname in the interface setup in the DHCP Client Configuration section.

@stephenw10 That makes perfect sense, thank you.

I realize the tool-tip says exactly that and I should have read more closely.
