      I logged in to my SG-1100 today and saw that there were some red bars indicating that some disks in my pfSense+ installation were full or near full.

      What is the recommended remedy for this situation? Thanks.

      p.s. I did a reset on the pfblockerNG logs, and this seems to have cleared some of the red bars, but I still have a 100% red bar for /var/cache/pkg and for /...

        You can empty /var/cache/pkg/

        This :

        is scary. 1,2 Gbytes looks way to small.

        Consider also to give pfSense a bit more memory. Less then 1 Gb doesn't look optimal neither.

          @Gertjan I couldn't find a way to empty any particular part of the file system on the PfSense+ GUI so I decided to remove some of the packages I'd installed to the Netgate SG-1100 to free up some space, and also reinstall the packages like the pfblockerNG which I had left hoping it would get rid of any junk which had built up over the years.

          I don't know whether this was the right way to do it, but it seems to have done the trick! (the size of / at 1.2G is the default on the SG-1100 and I couldn't find any way to change the size).

                Let me the first one to tell you this : the console access is without doubt the most important access on your 1100. It comes with the special cable that you found in the box with de 1100.
                You can also activate and use the SSH which gives you the same 'power'.

                And because it's a 1100 : I forgot how memory limited this device is.

                The disk space has some head room :
                Storage: 8GB eMMC storage.
                have a look under System > Boot Environments if you can remove some non used ones.

                  I'll have to look for the cable in the box to learn more about the console access! In the meantime, I deleted some of the auto default boot environments from the GUI and it has really worked wonders. Thanks for this.
