UPDATE: I have several subnets and disabling the pfBlocker on that one subnet which I suspected had the most activity lowered the temperature. The particular subnet have two PCs that connects to 2 different VPNs - one PC to a ZScaler network and another PC to an Appgate SDP. Since those two PCs are secured via their inherent VPN network, I just disabled pfBlocker on that subnet and temperature and CPU were normal on firewall.

Anyway to decrease the temperature usage of pfSense when pfBlocker is used? See the temperature increase just after enabling the package. I enable / disable multiple times to illustrate the issue.

pfSense is a KVM Guest under Debian 12.

I have another setup using Windows 2022 Hyper-V as hypervisor and I do not have a problem with CPU / Temperature like this.
