      I noticed alarms in the log related to multicast traffic. So I investigated how that was possible and how to stop those alarms.

      The alarms related to blocked packages, turned out to be generated by a pass rule .... hum ....
      which does not seem OK to me.

        and enter IGMP.
        Hit the Search button.
        Pick any of the recent (last 6 months or so) search results.
        read one or 2 of them. Apply what is suggested.
