Expected rawoffset

  • Hello!

I have two pfSense running without problems but at dmesg.boot I can see:

First pfSense (1 GByte image for 1 GByte CF card)

    ad2: 983MB <cf card="" ver1.27="">at ata1-master PIO4
WARNING: Expected rawoffset 0, found 63
WARNING: Expected rawoffset 0, found 922383

Second pfSense (1 GByte image for 2 GByte CF card)

    ad2: FAILURE - SET_MULTI status=51 <ready,dsc,error>error=4 <aborted>ad2: 1823MB <cf 20080820="" 2gb="">at ata1-master PIO4
WARNING: Expected rawoffset 0, found 63
WARNING: Expected rawoffset 0, found 922383

    Version:

    1.2.3-RC3
built on Thu Oct 22 05:53:52 UTC 2009

    Regards,

    Josep Pujadas</cf></aborted></ready,dsc,error></cf>

  • @bellera:

    ad2: FAILURE - SET_MULTI status=51 <ready,dsc,error>error=4 <aborted></aborted></ready,dsc,error>

I haven't seen this one, It might be something to worry about.

I think the expected rawoffset message is harmless. I seem to remember that m0n0 had a kernel patch to get rid of it.

  • ad2: FAILURE - SET_MULTI status=51 <ready,dsc,error>error=4 <aborted>This message means that the card doesnt support multi sector transfers
I have that with my iCF 4 gig as well.
    It is harmless</aborted></ready,dsc,error>
