I'm not sure if this is intended behavior or not but when setting up an install on 1.2.3-RC3 if I choose "Custom Install" I do not get the option to choose the kernel before reboot. If I choose the "Easy Install" then at the end I get the option for which kernel I want. Seems to me like when doing a custom install I should get the choice as well.

Did a google search and a redmine search and didn't see this mentioned so I am posting it here.

            Is there a workaround?

I'm installing an ALIX w/microdrive over Thanksgiving and I'd like to set it up with the full install.

EDIT – Just use the "simple" install.  The kernel installation screen shows up in that mode!
