Netgate 2100 pfSense version 24.11 - configured OpenVPN server like I have before but this time I have not been able to connect to the device. After some checking in the logs I found the error message in the OpenVPN log "Options error: --client-connect requires --mode server". In fact, this is the only message that shows up in the log. When I go to the Status -> Services menu, the openvpn service is not running and when I attempt to start it, it just fails and puts another one of the messages in the log. If anyone has seen this error and knows how to solve it, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

@Gertjan Unfortunately, that was pretty much the entirety of the openVPN log.

I did figure out the problem. It had already been a long day getting this network updated, and in my haste to configure the openVPN server I overlooked the IPv4 Tunnel Network entry. After a good night's rest and looking at my configuration anew, I noticed my mistake, I entered the required tunnel network, and the service started without any more errors.

          Thank you for your reply.
