    HAProxy fails a backend as DOWN even when check is disabled

      When configuring haproxy backend health checks, they sometimes fail upon apply changes regardless of the health check configuration e.g. health check is disabled.

      Removing and recreating the backend often cures the problem, which leads me to think this is a bug.

      There have been other posts and HAProxy backend health check glitch complaining of the same issue.

      I'm ready to file a bug report, but am seeking confirmation that this isn't as-designed, and a result of something I'm not doing correctly.

      pfSense CE 2.7.2
      haproxy 0.63_2

        @all, I'm not crazy - other people have this happening, too.

        Any thoughts on this, because it's making troubleshooting reverse proxy problems quite difficult.
