Pfsense with Modsecurity

I want to implement a WAF that is integrated with Pfsense, looking at the options Modsecurity seems to be the most suitable but I can't find enough documentation to be able to replicate it.
I'm just starting out in this world of WAF and I don't have enough knowledge so if anyone has a complete guide to integrate and configure it I would appreciate it.
