    Hi,
    I am running running pfSense+ 24.11 on a PC with i3 processor.
When the GUI is opened, the CPU frequencies on the dashboard are constantly close to the maximum, core temperatures are increased. Top on a parallel SSH terminal shows that the user CPU load is between 20 and 40%, sometimes even higher. I have two tabs open: Dashboard (System Information, Traffic Graph, Thermal Sensors, Gateways and others) and Status/Monitoring. After closing both Firefox tabs, the CPU load falls below 1%.
Sure, the Dashboard needs resources while reading/displaying content, but is this amount normal? Maybe I did not realize it, but I am running pfSense over years now and I am not aware of seeing this before.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Mike

Load increases after opening the tabs in Firefox:

@Mike-moon More or less a known issue, see for instance https://forum.netgate.com/topic/190824/cpu-load-on-1100/23

      edit: also
      https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/releases/25-03.html#dashboard

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

@SteveITS : Cool, that it is going to be fixed in 25.03. Thanks for the information!
        Regards, Mike
