      hi:
I would like to run PFSense on a mobile hotspot device so I can be on the go while having pfsense.
can i install PFSense on a travle router like the GLInet devices? or do i need to setup a VPN on a current pfsense device in my house or cloud and have my travle router connect?
or is there a way to battery operate and or install a netgate firewall device into, say, my car or an rv?

@adisonverlice pfSense for white boxes is only available for x86 based devices. Most of the travel router are ARM based and pfSense won't run on them.

But even if you go with small fanless x86 based box, the wifi support in FreeBSD is ... mmh, lacking to say the least.

I do use a GLInet Berry XL and have it connect by Wireguard to my pfSense at home.

          Yup, that^.

You're almost certainly better off using OpenWRT for a device like that. Many of those GLInet routers come with it by default anyway.

@stephenw10 in that case, will buy one of these, run pfsense plus, and connect the barrel to the router using wire guard. doesn't sound that hard...
