      After 14 months of research and development, I have come to the following conclusion about the actual network functions of Netgate/PFSENSE :

      • Netgate/Pfense is capable of interconning sites on VPLS-like Architecture using your secure MPLS internet connection or your unsecure FTTH, 4G/5G, Satellite, XDSL connections. With no need to know the public ip address of the site.
        VPLS Point-to-point , point-to-multipoints, multipoints-to-multipoints are possible into L2-to-L2

      • Site-to-site IPSEC over OPENVPN L2 Tunnel has been tested.

      • FRR ( BGP, OSPF and so on are partially tested on this architecture.
